Life Course Framework

The San Francisco Alliance for My Brother and Sister’s Keepers created a Local Action Plan Summary in July of 2017 that serves as a linear guide for implementing a life-course framework and state action plan for MBSK Colorado. San Francisco has dealt with many of the same issues as the Denver metropolitan area, including the rapid cost of living increases, gentrification, the displacement of uneducated and undereducated workers, and disparities in the educational achievement of minorities compared to their white counterparts. The organization will adopt areas of the action plan to fit Colorado’s unique need in addressing the Colorado Paradox and Losing Ground report by aligning Obama’s challenge goals with major initiatives /agenda items in Colorado’s Black community based on the recommendations given by the Gaining Ground Report. MBSKCO will target the following 4 areas and milestones for Black youth ages 0-24.
